Yes. On MUVAWAY you let exactly the months when you don't need your home. You add the free periods for your apartment, house, villa or finca as a monthly rental, for example October to May, and simply leave the other months out. Each booking runs from 32 nights to 12 months. You set the price and the minimum and maximum length, and you confirm every tenant yourself.
How do you add your free months?
In your listing you choose the periods when the whole home is available. Tenants can book up to 12 months ahead, so it pays to keep your calendar up to date early.
Your own time is yours to plan. The months you want to spend on the island in summer, you simply don't mark as available. Leave a little margin before your own weeks in Mallorca for the handover and small jobs. Only what you open can be booked.
Who lives in Mallorca during those months?
People settling on the island for a while: someone here for a job or a project, a family for a school year or in the middle of a move, a couple whose own home is being renovated, or remote workers who want to live and work in Mallorca through the winter. Every tenant introduces themselves in their own words when booking. You read it, ask your questions in chat and decide.
What matters when you live in Mallorca in winter?
From October to May, people who live here look at different things than in summer. Describe heating, hot water and internet honestly: whether there is a heat pump, a fireplace or radiators, how fast the connection is and whether there is a quiet place to work. There is no mandatory checklist. What counts is that tenants can see what is there, and what isn't, before they book. Current photos of the living area, kitchen and workspace say more than a long description.
Is a discount from 3 or 6 months worth it?
That is your call. You can offer an optional discount from 3 and from 6 months. The suggestion is 5 % and 10 %, and you can change the values or set them to zero. If your home is free for eight months in a row, a discount can appeal to people who would like to stay for the whole period.
How does it work?
- Listing is free: six pages, from the property to the final check. The team checks your photos and details and approves the listing.
- You get your account ready: confirm the terms, add your tax details and set up your payout account with Stripe.
- A tenant books and Stripe checks their ID. You confirm within 48 hours or decline.
- Month 1 is paid before move-in, and you receive the deposit directly at the key handover. From month 2, rent is charged before each month.
A platform fee of 8 % + IVA, or 9.68 %, applies to each monthly rent paid. From €1,800 rent, you receive €1,625.76.
