Sa Pobla lies in the north of Mallorca between Inca and Alcúdia, surrounded by the fields that grow the island's well-known potatoes. It is the terminus of the railway from Palma — around 55 minutes — and thus one of the few places in the north with a rail link. The Sunday market and the Sant Antoni festival in January are known beyond the island. The s'Albufera nature park begins east of the town. Sa Pobla has supermarkets, doctors, schools and a Sunday market. The town is compact and walkable.
The train from Palma terminates here — around 55 minutes. The coast at Alcúdia or Playa de Muro is a ten to fifteen minute drive.
