Living in Bendinat

Bendinat lies around 15 minutes west of Palma and is one of the most sought-after residential areas close to the city. Its name goes back to a legend: after the conquest of the island in 1229, King Jaume I is said to have uttered the words “be hem dinat” (“we have dined well”) here. Above the neighbourhood rises the neo-Gothic Castell de Bendinat, dating from 1867. Today the area is defined by spacious residential complexes, plenty of greenery and its renowned golf course. Families in particular value the quiet atmosphere and the short distance to Palma.
